Josefine Johansson is Cloud Family's new CMO — "There is a clear position to take"

Cloud Family is strengthening its marketing with the recruitment of Josefine Johansson as its new Chief Marketing Officer. With experience building marketing functions in fast-growing B2B companies, she takes on the role at a point where the company is stepping up and aiming for a clearer international position.

— "What attracted me to Cloud Family was that their solution meets a concrete need in the market. Companies want to lower their AWS costs, but most do not even know it is possible. There is a clear position to take there — and a marketing function to build," says Josefine.

The company is fast-growing, international and SaaS-based, with a solution that helps companies lower their AWS costs — without technical changes and without long commitments. A solution that one customer describes as "a no-brainer".

— "It says a lot to me when customers spontaneously describe the solution as a no-brainer," says Josefine.

From a first computer to building marketing functions

The drive to create started early. Josefine grew up in the Småland countryside and remembers clearly walking into an electronics shop as a young girl, piggy bank full of notes and coins from summer jobs and birthdays, to buy her first computer.

It was the mid-2000s, when blogging exploded and became a forerunner of today's influencer culture.

— "I started experimenting with blogging, images, video and digital communication long before I knew it could be a profession. But the feeling is still there: the curiosity, the wish to understand and the drive to build something."

Over the years that early drive has taken on a clear professional direction. Josefine's background today is in B2B marketing, content, lead generation and commercial strategy, including at Simployer and Amido. A thread running through her career has been combining strategy with execution — and building marketing that creates clarity, trust and growth.

— "I thrive where ambitions are high and the path from idea to action is short. For me marketing is at its best when it communicates the value more clearly. That is the kind of marketing function I want to help build at Cloud Family."

But it is not only about ambition — it is about people too.

— "You spend eight hours a day together. So it has to be an environment where you enjoy being, where there is energy and commitment."

A simple solution to an expensive problem

The company's offer is simple at heart: as an official AWS partner, they help companies lower their cloud costs — with no lock-in, and without customers needing to change their infrastructure.

— "Very few solutions are this easy to understand and this powerful at the same time. You save money, without risk. That is why customers say it is a no-brainer."

That the model is also built on full flexibility, where customers can leave at any time, makes the offer stronger still.

— "It says quite a lot that no customer has chosen to leave since we started."

The next phase — scaling internationally

As CMO, Josefine is responsible for the whole marketing function — from strategy and positioning to campaigns, content and lead generation — focused on supporting the company's continued growth.

— "What drives me is creating communication that actually makes a difference. Helping people understand a problem, see the value in the solution and take the next step."

Now the next chapter is waiting: taking Cloud Family's marketing to the next level and supporting the company's international expansion.

— "It feels like Cloud Family has only just started taking its place. The potential is considerable, both in the Nordics and internationally, and I really look forward to building the marketing that will support that growth."

"We are very glad to welcome Josefine to Cloud Family. She joins with relevant experience at a point where we want to keep developing our marketing and take the next step internationally," says Jonatan Redvik, CEO, Cloud Family.
