Cloud Family celebrates a value-creating 2024, with more customers than ever and millions saved

Cloud Family, a fast-growing tech company whose business idea is to reduce what companies pay for cloud services using AI and machine learning (ML), has wrapped up a record year in 2024 — with strong growth and significant value for its customers. Cloud Family's platform has helped more customers than ever, and helped them reach savings on an entirely new scale.

2024 was the first year Cloud Family's solution was generally available to all customers. The platform has made it possible for companies to reduce their cloud costs through advanced real-time calculation and ML-based predictive analysis. As a result, Cloud Family saved its customers seven times more money than in 2023 — a result running into millions of kronor.

"We have used machine learning to understand the variation in our customers' need for AWS resources. On top of that we use AI to optimise where our fixed-price agreements (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances and so on) are placed, in real time, which produces the maximum saving," says Jonatan Redvik, CEO of Cloud Family.

A breakthrough year in the Nordics

Cloud Family reached several major milestones during 2024:

  • The customer base grew eight times compared with 2023.

  • In June the company won the "AWS Partner Prospecting League Ingram Micro" — a prestigious award recognising fast-growing AWS partners in the Nordics.

  • In October, Cloud Family reached its growth targets for the year — a full six months ahead of plan.

"It is fantastic to see more and more choosing to become part of our family. We believe strongly in the idea that we are stronger together, and we are glad to create real value for our customers by having them join Cloud Family," Jonatan adds.

Growth and value creation go hand in hand

An important part of Cloud Family's growth comes, as noted, from the value customers have seen. During 2024, several companies described how the platform helped them optimise their cloud usage and lower costs:

  • Several customers were filmed during the autumn of 2024. In one of the video interviews, Martin Bergqvist, CEO of Samhub, describes how his company reduced its AWS costs considerably: "Cloud Family's AI/ML-based platform gave us not only cost savings but also insight that let us use our resources better."

  • Christian Saleki, CTO at SmartCraft, emphasised in an article in September how important it is that cost optimisation becomes an integrated part of engineers' work: "Through Cloud Family's tools we have been able to lower our cloud costs while maintaining high performance for our products."

The future, and AI

Staying relevant in the IT world is in large part about keeping up with the AI solutions and innovations that are coming. As part of Cloud Family's work on its vision, Jonatan therefore travelled to Washington DC in November 2024 to take part in "Ingram ONE, the innovation summit", where the future of AI-based innovation and cloud services was discussed.

With a fantastic 2024 behind it, Cloud Family looks forward to continuing the journey through 2025. The company plans to keep developing its AI/ML platform to deliver even greater value to customers and help companies make the most of their use of cloud services.

"2024 has been a fantastic year for us and our customers. We look forward to continuing to create value and helping more companies reach their full potential through Cloud Family's platform in 2025," Jonatan concludes.
